Does the Office Add-in preserve document formatting?

Yes. The Preserve Formatting option maintains all formatting (bold, italic, underline, fonts, colors, styles) when anonymizing. Only the text content is replaced — document structure remains intact.

Can I use different anonymization methods for different entity types?

Yes. Per-entity operators let you configure different methods for each entity type in a single pass. For example: hash names (SHA-256), encrypt emails (AES-256-GCM), mask phone numbers, and redact SSNs — all in one operation.

What does Preview Mode do in the add-in?

Preview Mode shows a side-by-side comparison of original vs. anonymized text before applying changes. Each detected entity displays with its confidence score. You can select which entities to anonymize, change methods inline, and switch languages — all before committing changes.

Can I save and reuse anonymization settings?

Yes. Presets let you save configurations including language, entity types, per-entity operators, and score thresholds. Presets sync across devices via your account.
