What is anonym.legal?#
anonym.legal is a tool that helps you find and hide personal information in your text. Think of it like a magic marker that can automatically find things like names, phone numbers, and email addresses, then hide them so nobody else can see them.
1. Finding Personal Information#
What Can We Find?#
Our tool can automatically spot over 50 different types of personal information, including:
- Names - First names, last names, and full names
- Contact Info - Email addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers
- Addresses - Home addresses, cities, zip codes, countries
- Money Stuff - Credit card numbers, bank account numbers, IBANs

Not sure how to create a search pattern? Our AI helper can do it for you! Just describe what you want to find, give some examples, and the AI will create the pattern automatically. It is like having a smart assistant who understands what you need.
2. Hiding Personal Information#
Once we find personal information, you can hide it in different ways:

Presets - Save Your Favorite Settings#
Do you always want to find the same types of information? Save your settings as a preset! Next time, just pick your preset and everything is ready to go. You can even share your presets with others.
Batch Processing - Handle Many Texts at Once#
Have lots of texts to check? Instead of doing them one by one, you can upload many texts at once and process them all together. This saves lots of time!

What is MCP?#
MCP stands for "Model Context Protocol." It is a way for AI tools like Claude to use anonym.legal automatically.

Imagine you are chatting with an AI assistant and you want to share some text, but it has personal information in it. With MCP, the AI can automatically hide that information before using it. It is like having a privacy guard built right in!

6. Account and Security#
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)#
This is like having two locks on your door instead of one. When you log in:
- First, you enter your password (lock #1)
- Then, you enter a special code from your phone (lock #2)
Even if someone guesses your password, they still cannot get in without your phone!
Zero-Knowledge Encryption#
This is our most secure option. Here is how it works:
- Your password NEVER leaves your computer
- Your information gets scrambled (encrypted) on YOUR device
- By the time it reaches us, it is already a secret code
- We cannot see your actual information - only you can!
- You get a 24-word recovery phrase to get back in if you forget your password
It is like putting your letter in a locked box before mailing it. Even the mail carrier cannot read it!

What Are Tokens?#
