How We Keep Your Data Safe#

At anonym.legal, protecting your information is our top priority. We use strong security practices to make sure your data stays private and secure.

Your Data is Protected#

When You Send Data#

All information you send to us travels through a secure, encrypted connection. Think of it like sending a letter in a locked box that only we can open.

When Data is Stored#

Any data we need to keep is stored using strong encryption. This means even if someone tried to access it without permission, they would not be able to read it.

Your Account Security#

Strong Passwords#

We require passwords that are hard to guess. A good password:

  • Is long (at least 12 characters)
  • Uses a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Is different from passwords you use elsewhere

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)#

You can add an extra layer of security to your account. With 2FA turned on, you need both your password and a special code from your phone to log in. This means even if someone learns your password, they still cannot access your account.

Account Protection#

If someone tries to guess your password too many times, we temporarily lock the account to keep it safe.

Zero-Knowledge Authentication#

This is our most secure login option:

  • Your password never leaves your device
  • We only receive a mathematical proof that you know your password
  • Even if our servers were hacked, your password would be safe
  • You get a 24-word recovery phrase to get back into your account

When you use anonym.legal to anonymize your text:

  • Only basic usage information is kept (like how many times you used the service)
  • Your private information stays private
